The Business Examiner hosted the Fastest Growing Companies awards at the Museum of Glass. I performed strolling magic during the social/cocktail hour for the event, which featured many small and medium business owners and entrepreneurs. I saw two of my previous clients: Coldwell Banker Danforth (annual banquet at the Twin Lakes Country Club) and the Hiller family (private party in Federal Way).
Walking over to the Museum of Glass I snapped a few photos. Tacoma is lucky to have such a concentration of art and culture. Even on an overcast day the views from the Thea Foss Waterway to the Tacoma Dome and Union Station were phenomenal. I was pretty happy with the results of my point-and-click. I can only imagine that real photographers have a playday with all of the colors, shapes, and reflections here.
- Thanks to the Business Examiner for hosting the evening.
- Someday I need to create a magic trick with an ice sculpture…
- View from the pedestrian bridge from the Museum of Glass back towards Union Station, UWT, the History Museum, and more.
- These are the glass sculptures you can see from Hwy 705 as you head towards downtown Tacoma.
- The cone of the Museum of Glass rises above a reflecting pool.
- Iconic Tacoma: glass sculptures, the cable-stayed bridge on Hwy 509, and the Tacoma Dome in the distance.
- Ground-level view of the CEILING of the pedestrian bridge. Yes, it’s layers of glass works of art!
