The Rotary Club of Ballard invited me to perform “mingling magic” during the cocktail hour along with my stand-up after-dinner show as part of their annual auction fundraiser. They fund many worthwhile programs in Ballard, Seattle, and beyond.
Their members are not only very fun people to be around, but also incredible generous: the Rotarians and their guests raised over $19,000 this evening which will go directly to charities that they support. What may be most surprising is that this was a relatively “small” fundraiser for them this year, as they opted to not include a silent auction and limited their live auction to just twelve items in addition to their “fund a need” voluntary contributions. A big salute of thanks to all that these people are doing in the community!
- Rotarians Cameron (president) and Billy (auctioneer) raised a ton of money for charities.
- Wonderful cuisine artfully presented by the Ray’s Boathouse catering team.
- View OF the water? No, view ON the water! @ Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard
- Rotarians Lori and Pete become part of Jeff Evans’ magic show
The Ballard Rotary originally had me visit for one of their regular weekly meetings in January, and were so impressed they wanted me to be part of this special banquet. Read all about it here. I must be in a “Rotary mode”, as I performed for the visited the Rotary Club of Covington a week and a half ago, too!
