Volunteer Appreciation Parties
are more fun with Magic
I get to visit lots of fun venues as I entertain for banquets and events, and tonight’s party was a new one! The Real Estate Association of Puget Sound wanted something special for their volunteer appreciation party. Strolling magic was perfect for the setting. URBAN enoteca is located in Seattle’s SoDo district. From the outside it’s a non-descript warehouse; inside, it’s full of character. My photos don’t really do the place justice, as the lighting is dim and none of the banquet rooms were “set” or decorated for an event. I don’t know for sure, but I am guessing that they have about four or five different meeting rooms and banquet “spaces”, accomodating from about fifteen in the smaller rooms to over a hundred seated in the main lodge-like area.

Many thanks to my Facebook fan Chizu for recommending me for this party. She and her kids have seen me perform at least twice at summer library programs, even driving from Bremerton to Gig Harbor to catch my show.
Strolling magic was ideal for this setting; people were socializing, catching up with associates they hadn’t seen in a while, and enjoying appetizers and sampling wine. Strolling magic is close-up entertainment where I mingle with guests performing with items I carry with me. No stage, table, sound system, or special set-up is required. All I really need is a group of people who want to have fun! A lot of people like this style of magic best because everything happens just a few feet away. Sometimes, it happens in their hands!
