Battle of the Caterers
What happens when the Tacoma South Puget Sound chapter of NACE (the National Association of Catering Executives) gets together for their monthly meetings? It’s a secret, underground competition to prepare the most delicious multi-course menu, regardless of cost! And when caterers battle, everyone wins. The food is always delicious, prepared tonight by Pacific Grill Catering of Tacoma.
Decorate Like a Boss
Before tonight I wasn’t familiar with Trendy Event Rentals. They are in downtown Tacoma and have banquet/event space, rent party and event items (from linens to chair coverings to lighting), and provide on-site decor for events ranging from weddings to banquets. However, the highlight, “ooh” factor for me are their Betta Mansions. Betta, as in the type of goldfish. Owner Crystal Davis has over a hundred of these fantastic glass-blown, globe-shaped fish bowls that are available for rent for events.

Not only are these centerpieces eye-catching, but they’re also edible. (Crystal says seven of their goldfish have died when patrons, um, swallowed them. You can’t make this stuff up!)
