Yesterday I performed magic the Lewis County Home and Garden Show at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in Centralia. It was the 48th year for the Show, and my fourth year entertaining as part of the line-up of speakers and presenters.
My performances each year are sponsored by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce. Read reviews and see photos from my show in 2011 when the event was held at the Yard Birds Mall.
The Chamber team always does a fantastic job. It’s neat seeing so many people leaving the Fairgrounds carrying shrubs, plants, or new yard art. The last two years (and maybe longer), Home Depot has held popular “You Build-It” workshops for kids. This year they were making and taking some sort of insect display box that I saw several kids toting around with them.
- Many people went home with flowers, vegetables, shrubs, and trees
- Audience participation
- Nothing says “home show” like John Deer and Stihl
- Magician Jeff Evans
- The Tin Man of Chehalis Sheet Metal
- Thanks to my sponsor the Centalia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce
- The Southwest Washington Fairgrounds is the ideal location
- Great seeing the variety of products and services
