It’s grad party season, and all of the entertainers I talk with tell me that June is one of their busiest times of the year. Yesterday was especially hectic, with shows in Burien, Redmond, and Forks. Although most of my graduation party shows are for high schools, my magic show in Redmond was for Cascadia Montessori. I’ve been performing for their school on-and-off for fifteen years, and repeat clients like this really mean a lot to me. Some of the families have hired me to perform for their children’s birthday parties over the years, so it’s a chance to see old friends, too.

“We’re not seniors anymore…”
Right, they’re graduates! Forks High School is a repeat client from last year, and their parents do a heckuva job. The Forks area is beautiful, but there isn’t a lot of money in the area. No matter, their students and parents do a LOT of fundraising during the year to pull out all of the stops and make their Safe Night graduation celebration a big, big deal. They hire Clowns Unlimited from Seattle to bring their bounce rides, mechanical bull, and more. Parents are manning the “bar” and serving food. I am blown away with how many parents are there making this happen. And, the graduates have a blast and are fun to hang out with.
Thanks to Rob with Leapfrog Entertainment for handling the details. And, it’s always great getting to work with hypnotist Tammy Harris Barton. Click here to learn more about my Safe Night comedy and magic show.
