Waterways Cruises Showcase on Seattle’s Lake Union

Waterways Cruises
Hosts Open House

Waterways Cruises has three cruise ships available for private parties, weddings, birthdays, conventions, and corporate events.  Strolling magic is ideal for cruises as it can happen on any deck, inside or out, and happens as people are moving about and socializing.  It can be done, but it’s a little more difficult to gather everyone together for a formal show on a ship because of limited space.  Strolling magic works in pretty much any situation; no sound system, stage, special lighting, etc. is required.

This was Waterways’ annual Showcase for clients and prospects.  As I was entertaining, I met one couple, asked the gentleman what business or organization he was with, and he replied, “I’m the owner.”  “Owner of what?”, I wondered.  It turns out that they were the owners of Waterways Cruises.  The couple started the business some twenty years ago and have obviously done very well.  It’s always neat being able to put a face to a company that I’ve known for years.

Five stars for the service, decor, and catering.  Skippers of each ship were on hand, dressed in sparkling white uniforms, greeting people as they entered each vessel.  And the weather – you can’t beat being on the water in Seattle in beautiful 80-degree sunshine.  Although the ships never left the dock, we still got to enjoy the waterfront view; crew team sliding past, kayakers, a seaplane, barge tug, and more.
