Tacoma Festival of Trees

It’s officially the Christmas season!  There’s no better way to kick off the holidays than with the Multicare Festival of Trees.  Each year the Tacoma Convention and Trade Center is transformed into a beautiful wintery wonderland of color, lights, and amazing trees.

This annual event benefits children and families at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center and is organized by community volunteers, the Mary Bridge Brigade and Mary Bridge Children’s Foundation.

My business partner, magician Rick Anderson, and I have been performing for “Multicare Employee Night” at the Festival of Trees for the past eleven years.  This is an opportunity for the staff and family of Multicare hospitals to admire the artistic trees, have their photo taken with Santa, enjoy the dessert bar, pick up holiday-themed gifts, and enjoy live music and magic.

It’s a treat working an event with Rick because, although we’re business partners, we rarely perform at the same time for the same client.  This way I get to see the new material he’s working on, and Rick is always exploring and creating.
