The Bryant Blast is Bryant Elementary School’s annual carnival. Bryan is located in northeast Seattle in the Ravenna-Bryant neighborhood. The PTSA did a phenomenal job and had a huge variety of activities, from inflatables to face painting to pony rides, but what I’ll remember most is watching kids pie their principal! Kids purchased raffle tickets, and the winner was able to pie the principal or vice principal immediately following one of my magic shows. Mr. Sanger and Mrs. Pearson are brave and good sports!
I love visiting different schools because each one has different traditions. At Bryant their Cake Walk is a big deal. As I drove up I saw several families bringing in elaborately decorated cakes. The gym had a long row of tables of custom-made cakes, many inspired by the Bryant Blast.
- Cake walking and dancing!
- Dozens of home-made cakes for the Cake Walk
- No school carnival is complete without cotton candy, sno-cones, and popcorn
- Kudos to the Bryant PTSA volunteers who made the day a success
- Sunny and warm weather made sno-cones a huge hit
- You can have your popcorn and cake and eat it, too
